Richard, it looks like the trial for memantine won't be through til around July, which gives this stock a while before a run up based on that outcome. Given the defensive nature of the investment mood these days ( I noticed that on Friday,2/7, a lot of stocks with high or NA PE's fell in spite of the market's rise.) the drop in NTII is not surprising. I sold at a limit of 2 15/16 and got it on 1/29/97. I am going to follow this company closely and hope to invest again before July. Unfortunately, like a lot of small time players, I'm very against the idea of seeing much capital erosion now. I've made about 40% gain in the last 4 months and know I can sit on that for 8 months without exposing it to market swings and still feel pretty good about having beaten most mutual funds for the year. I'm not sure where to invest now, but I know lots of places I'd like to invest after a correction.
Of course, I'm not a market guru, or in any way a significant player.
By the way,California native plants and the people who use them, particullary in traditional ways, have my full support, I'm an associate member of the California Native Basket Weaver's Association.
I've also got some non-native things growing in my Mission District courtyard. Any advice on How to help a New Zealand tree fern thrive?
I sure hope memantine shows promise. We need all the good news we can get on building an effective HIV arsenal, and the sooner, the better! Too much has been lost already to this dammned virus.
Best to all, Nancy |
