I don't think the Microsafe mentioned in this article has anything to do with NVID. Do a net search after reading this post and make your own judgement.

Microsafe pillows are carried by leading national retail chains including Sears, JC Penny's and others. Over 100,00 pillows have been sold by one manufacturer alone with over 100,000 more expected to sell within 3 months.

"Since Microsafe is a broad spectrum antimicrobial product, it protects against mold and mildew, not just bacteria."

"We have selected Microban [a trademark of Microban Products Co., Huntersville, NC] as our antimicrobial additive because it is registered with both the EPA (42182-1) for use in fibers, and with the FDA on certain medical end-product applications." Ken Saylor-general manager of Hoechst.

The above info was take off of the web. I did a basic search after reading your post. I think the microsafe and microban are both attributed to Microban Products. Although it doesn't sound exactly like the same product as NVID mentions it does have striking similarities. Here's also a link turned up on Microban.

By the way Microban has a home page on the web. Also a representative of Microban was on CNBC demonstrating a Microban pillow early in 1996. Well before I ever heard of NVID or their MicroSafe product.
From what I could tell Microban is not a public company, but I am not certain of this.

NVID may having something great coming I have NO IDEA!
However I think the article you referenced DOES NOT deal with NVID.
