pgerassi - When can I get a real 2.4GHz P4 in performance comparative to a P3 running at 2.4GHz? Nice fantasy question. Here's another: When can I get an AMD CPU that runs at 2.4 GHz? Selling 4 times the CPUs for Intel is a step down, they used to sell 9 to 1, not too long ago. And that ratio is lowering as we speak. AMD used to have 30% of the CPU market in the early 1990s. Intel is pleased to have taken one-third of their market share away. Maybe you now know why Mr. Jerry Sanders kept ranting about AMD reaaching 30% market share by 2000...then 2001..now 200?
