...one of these days Lin... BANG, ZOOM! Good point on the CPUs being outrun by the graphics chips. What it means, of course, is that graphics chips will be sucking up more of the 3D pipe as time goes on. The key will be balance in the system, so that neither chip sits idle. Thanks for the December Byte recommendation. It's one of the mags I don't get. I'll pick it up at the airport on the way to Comdex. I'll check back in on Sunday, post Comdex. Ski
