Recounting low points was not my original intention in writing these stories but the path leads inexorably down into the detritus left here by time and circumstance. Many of these stories have roots that delve deeply into the history of WHO we are as a community. Thousands of old messages were read to try and reveal a small part of each posters history in this world. At one point I considered writing out some of the decoder ring rules that I apply in reading these old messages and profiles. Timothy Grimes' profile reveals that he lives in California and that he joined SI in March of 1996, about eight months before Tim Luke joined. Timothy Grimes was a member for six years, just like Tim Luke and he made his last post to SI on July 25, 2002 at 1:41AM, just seventeen minutes after Tim Luke's last post. There are exactly nineteen posts in Timothy's profile that span about three and a half years of time, from December 1998 to July 2002, Timothy made a total of 174 posts to SI. I sent a private message to Timothy Grimes, I don't know if he will respond. Timothy's experience on SI was a lot different than Tim Luke's. Timothy Grimes never made a lot of calls, he did write about the stocks he owned, which is almost the same thing. |
