I'm very ignorant about underwritten stocks and how that whole process works. What does the brokerage get for doing this? Do they get this stock at a lower or discounted price? They must get something out of it other than the standard commission.
The more I hear about the way this system works the more I see my future in buying direct on the net.
What I'm hesitant to totally give up, however, are a couple of leads that I do get every year from my broker that do make me a good chunk of money. My problem is that they are hidden amongst a basket full of turtles or .....
I just answered my own question. There's bound to be something good if you have a basket full.
