I would like to hear opinions on why OVER reacted negatively to the Yahoo partnership while FWHT jumped even further upwards. My thinking is that because the agreement says that Yahoo has the right to terminate the partnership in April 02 and run their own in-house PPC system from that point forward, a lot of people are thinking that FWHT would make an appealing takeover target. They are valued much more reasonably than OVER and Yahoo could easily buy them and use their expertise, superior software, and customer base to quickly and efficiently launch their own PPC system rather than building one from the ground up. Other thoughts?

Even though this bodes very well for FWHT, OVER will not be left out in the cold even if Yahoo does buy FWHT. Although Yahoo is the single largest web portal, there are plenty of others (Aol, AltaVista, MSN, etc) that still make up a huge percentage of the market and OVER can continue to grow by servicing their needs (as they currently do with many of the big players). OVER could become the outsourced leader of PPC listings while FWHT could merge into Yahoo after being bought out and cease to exist as an independent provider. Either way, the PPC industry is continuing to rocket and both of these stocks have a lot more upside potential.
