While I agree that it would not take too much time to notify a person that a subpoena has been issued for their information, SI may have determined that notification is not in the companies best interest for legal reasons. Has SI addressed the fact as to whether or not they advise members of subpoena requests or not? And if they do, what is their policy? If they do notify members, how has it been done in the past? Then if there is a sudden change in the way SI is operating concerning requested information, a member would have some standing on past practice. Maybe someone with a hook here at SI could get a few of these questions answered and give members a clearer understanding of how SI operates concerning administrative subpoenas.
