S3 is increasing margins from 40 to 42% because their costs are going down. They are moving more product over to the Taiwan UMC Foundry which has been cranking up in the last 2 quarters. This foundry is also one of the first to offer volume 0.35um 8" wafer production. 0.35um is the same geometry being used in Pentium, Pentium Pro and the first Pentium II (Klamath) chips. J
