RePaul V, anything is possible. Like my targets: a 250% gain for 1997 (from 36 to 126) and then a double for 1998 (from 126 to 252),

Tito,

Do you really expect this kind of gain for next year? AMAT is currently trading at about 22x next year's consensus and there are many who say it is overvalued. Using the $252 price target and the same forward looking pe of 22x, AMAT would have to hit $11.45 in EPS for FY99. The last time I checked, many of the analysts had AMAT pegged in the $6.00 range, and this is after the recent rounds of upgrades. I hope that the analysts are wrong again, but I'd "settle" for a 50% year after this year<bg>
