If this is true, and it isn't clear that it is, it is immaterial. Because you absolutely CANNOT have a "Public Integrity Department" headed by someone who has publicly served jail time on a DWI during which time her law license was suspended. That person has no credibility in a courtroom or deposition, whatsoever.

So, she had to go and pretty much everyone agrees about that. She refused to leave and Perry was doing what he had to do to get rid of her. Perry sounds like someone in search of strengthening the agency to me.

And, of course, there IS precedent for this kind of abuse by the Democrat party in Texas (see: Tom Delay).

This indictment is about the biggest bullshit deal I've ever seen. There really isn't even a HINT of wrongdoing on Perry's part.
