Golfer-in-Chief had a Rude Awakening and it Undoubtedly Shattered his Fragile Ego

Over Labor Day weekend, Barack Obama was scheduled to be in the New York area for a series of fundraisers on Friday followed by attending the wedding of the Lean Forward network’s Alex Wagner to Obama’s chef Sam Kass. Strangely, Obama did not stay overnight in New York, instead taking Air Force One back to D.C. Friday night only to return Saturday to New York for the wedding.
At the time, White House paid liar Press Secretary Josh Earnest explained Obama’s change of plans and decision not to stay overnight in New York as an example of Obama’s devotion to his family and, supposedly, his job. Earnest said that Obama “decided he’d rather make that late evening flight back to the White House where he could sleep in his own bed, do a little work tomorrow, spend some time with his family, then travel back to New York tomorrow evening.”
It turns out, that could not have been further from the truth. Thanks to an investigative report by WNBC in New York, we’ve learned the real reason Obama made the flight home for one night then back to New York again, courtesy of the American taxpayer.
Obama did not stay overnight in New York because he could not get a tee time.
Though he spends a large majority of his time railing against the rich and creating an environment of envy through his demonization of the rich, he sure loves to play golf with them. On that Labor Day weekend, Obama wasn’t just trying to play golf at any course. He was trying to play on courses where members pay as much as $100,000 a year for the privilege of playing golf on the course.
Obama’s schedulers contacted elite golf courses in an attempt to get the golfer-in-chief a tee time. These included Trump National Golf Club, the Winged Foot, and Willow Ridge. The clubs were given a one to two-day notice request to make room for Obama on the links. With Labor Day weekend being a popular time to golf for their members, each of the golf clubs told Obama no. They would not and could not accommodate him.
While the argument was made that Obama is not the first head of state to be denied a tee time and it was more about dollar signs than poll numbers, political analyst Dan Gerstein disagrees.
“I think he’s lost that star quality that he had, particularly in the first two years of his tenure in office,” Gerstein said.
Obama is not accustomed to being told no. Perhaps that’s why he left the area, spending tons of taxpayer money in the process, to go fly back to D.C. on Air Force One rather than stay overnight anyway and hang out in his hotel.
