Less,
Natural rights are rights not contingent upon laws, customs, beliefs, or societal mores. In contrast legal rights are imposed legislatively based on the local beliefs of societies... often contentious and frequently overturned from one era to another.
Liberals don't believe in "natural rights" according to your definition. They believe that ALL rights are "legal rights" and can be overturned by authoritative fiat.

As for abortion, it has always been a "choice" between a mother's right to her own body and the unborn child's right to live. Pro-abortionists consider the former to be a "natural right," while pro-lifers consider the latter to be a "natural right." Laws are written to safeguard either one or the other without regard to the circumstances why there has to be a "choice" in the first place.

Far be it for me to downplay those circumstances, but you can bet drunk idiots like Crazy Joe Shep have no business talking about this sort of stuff. He, like so many other men who support abortion for selfish reasons, don't want to think about the responsibility society has toward children, including the unborn.
