Which it hasn't done. We have seen a drop of just over 1 percentage point since 2008 in the number of people without insurance or Medicaid. 1 percentage point. Not even that now, with the attrition.

Yet, we have all young people paying more for the coverage they have. And will likely lose employer coverage for a large number of covered persons when the employer mandate takes effect. The ONLY thing that will keep the numbers up is the subsidy which is being dumped on future generations to the tune of 50-100 billion/year.

Meanwhile, innovation and the quality of care are both dropping like a rock.

Even Zeke Emanuel has now given up on the federal system, insisting that the states have to take over.
