YES, this is CORRECT when applied to a specific design (like, say DasHumper).
AMD also would have a process development vehicle like an SRAM along
with device reliability physics structures. Then as you point out Elmer, there
is a very good likelihood that there were also additional test chips to
qualify IP and perhaps for package qualification.
