Dave:

I suspect that SIBI released the news at that time because that's when Lilly licensed the stuff from ABSC.

:-)

Hey! I have no concept if the "629" claims will stand for yeast. I was just suggesting that Steve might want to think twice before assuming that it was a no-brainer. I can say, however, that I've had some personal experience bumping up against SIBI's patent attorneys, while trying to license some anti-EEAR for use as reagents. They stood out as exceptionally careful SOBs. I've also watched SIBI's evolution, and their quiet, careful progress. If I were considering an investment in KDUS, I'd want IR to give me more than a surface explanation of why the SIBI claims won't hold.

Broad, strong patents are in the long-term interest of the country that issues them. Who were the underwriters for the KDUS IPO?

The MIT deal.... probably would have been better to do the deal and just keep quiet about it. The hoopla makes the company look, IMO, pretty silly. The tech. is far from being a commercial reality.

Although there are several good "fits" out there for KDUS technology, there's one very obvious thing to do with the company at this point.
