Oz, I agree with this comment very much. I create my own favorite indexes of the new Dot.com leaders that are not yet part of any index. i.e. FIBR (Fibre Stocks) B2B (Before there was the Morgan Stanley BHH Index) I also prefer high priced stocks that are in the Dot.com business. So many new companies that are great trading vehicles have gone public in the past 6 months. They are not listed or grouped anywhere. I love to read the netbulls.com website.

I have found that reading their daily commentary gives me an update on many net companies I would not normally follow. About 3 months ago, I started building a tracking portfolio in my trading software including every company mentioned in the newsletter. This portfolio is now over 80 stocks. I sort this group in real time for the largest volume, percentage and dollar movers. This way I am always alerted to any of these stocks that are moving. I guess that's the key for me. I really don't care what a company does. I have to admit that in many cases I only know the symbol. I am looking for movement, period. Then I use all of my trading tools I have gathered with 17 years of experience to pick my poison.
