Schwab adjusts its margin requirements on a continuing basis, with no advance notice. They'll move from 50% to 80% to no margin, and immediately issue margin calls. There's a "concentration desk" which looks at Schwab's exposures on a minute to minute basis and pulls the trigger for changes. GSR
