Yep, I saw it. I think AOL is increasing the modem ports in their POPs as fast as they can, but, their subscribers want it now! The problem with unlimited access is that some very rude users will set their email autocheck function to run every minute. Once they get a connection, they never let go. That's a bad deal for everyone, because everyone else is paying for it. I don't know if there are any qualifiers in AOL's "unlimited access" deal. If not, there will be, or the price will go up for everyone rather quickly.
My guess is that they will bite the bullet for a few months, keep upgrading their network (with USR hubs!), and drive a lot of smaller ISPs right into oblivion. The come the price increases.
