Ok, one at a time:

Right. In contrast, as W said to Frum, Bush Leads Politics be damned, indeed.

That wouldn't be the Iraqi people, would it? If so, W ought to make that case.
3. VX has been used in a Japanese subway, Anthrax has been used on the East coast. The WTC is gone.
None of those had anything to do with Saddam. Most people seem to think the Anthrax was domestic even. On the Japanese subway thing, there's this interesting compare and contrast. The Japanese subway attack in 1995 killed 12 people. ( cnn.com for example ) More recently, the death toll of the Korean subway attack of a few weeks ago is up to 196 (http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1035778341929&call_pageid=968332188492&col=968705899037 for example ) , and all it took was some gasoline.
4. The President has a sworn duty to protect and defend this country and has been granted by Congress the right to use whatever force it takes.
It's true that W can do pretty much what he wants, but that isn't much of a reason. Why Saddam is allegedly the biggest threat on the horizon is quite unclear . |
