"...why not .... let the cowboys take the super risks..."
tango, maybe there's varying degrees of cowboy in each of us. Myself, I am a fairly conservative investor, mostly TSE 300 stuff and real estate. But TSE 300 threads are unspeakably boring, and while the stocks have been bringing some nice returns, I've always felt the need for something a little more exciting, "crap shoots" as you say, high risk and high reward possibilities. I buy a few and then am encouraged to watch it more closely, if I like what I see I buy more. This strategy was very rewarding in the case of Arequipa, for example. Less so in a number of others, of course -g-
I've been buying more Steppe, but only a little more. Watching, though ...
Good point about this market re wws - it's up a whole penny today on the fantastic volume of 14,000 shares. Goes to show. Re Ballard - I sold it all months ago at 49 and change - figured it had gone about as fur as it could go -g-
Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys (all the time) .... cheers |
