almost half of what a person makes

If you are a working person in california half would be NICE!!!

rough estimates:

30 income tax
15 SSC
28 capital gains (Tax on money that's already been taxed)
10 state income tax
8 sales tax
1-3 property tax (Tax on money that's already been taxed)
X tax on communications (phones)
X tax on gasoling
X tax on liquor and cigarettes
X excise tax on tires (sales tax is added on top of this tax)

This doesn't count fees:
professional license fees
building permits
Parking meters
parking fees
fees for parks
DMV fees
Rapid transit fees
Court fee (small claims etc)
water and sewer fees

and then eventually our old friend the inflation tax to pay for our borrowing to keep up with our... well Eisenhower warned us.

The last time I looked a workin' guy with a small business was paying at least 70% and handing it along to his customers in a big way. I always went through this list when customers complained about my prices.

Unless you found out right away how to use the deduction system to your legal advantage you remain poor. Its a tread mill that rotates ever faster the harder you work.

When I went into business it became immediately obvious that the way to profits was write offs.
