No more waiting for large graphic files and lengthy discussion group digests. You get it all instantly without using your DirecPC "Surfer" service hours. The service is FREE and beta testers get a FREE PCI adapter card to test the service. How it works: DirecPC receives news group articles from our news feeds and broadcasts them over the satellite daily. The Personal News Server running on your computer captures the newsgroups you have selected anonymously and stores them on your hard drive. You will configure your news reader(s) to use the local host(127.0.0.1) as the NNTP server. The news reader will recognize your computer as the server and receive the groups in the same manner it would if you were on the Internet, but much quicker.
