Actually, I saw "911 The Road to Tyranny" some time back after you had posted a link to a video file. You may be think of a similar conversation related to "9/11 in Plane Sight", which I haven't seen, but would be interesting in viewing comments by anyone who has.
To be honest, I have some trouble categorizing the motive behind much of the work produced by Alex Jones. His stuff strikes me as being equal parts hard core investigative reporting and shameless sensationalism, combined with intentional disinformation and distorted facts. My first guess is he is probably commercially motivated and is targeting a demographic to which a subscription to the National Enquirer would appeal.
While I don't believe his stuff should be discounted altogether, I do feel it should be taken with a very large grain of salt, along with a ton of independent research. Of course that probably applies to everything offered by those engaged in the conspiracy theory racket. IMO, the best acid test is to see if they are asking for money, and if the money they ask for is being used for any purpose other than to make it possible to ask for more money. While there is an abundance of outfits or individuals offering products, or soliciting donations and memberships, there is very little in the way of persons using the proceeds to hire attorneys or lobby the government, or to engage in methods to distribute information to mainstream America.
In any case, thanks for posting the link. While I wouldn't recommend paying to watch "911 The Road to Tyranny", it's worth watching for the news clips on the Oklahoma City bombing, if nothing else. |
