I don't think he can legitimately be called a homophobe. And I have no idea about the shows he mentioned since I never heard of them.

But whatever one thinks about homos, I think most heterosexual tire of having the homo lifestyle shoved in our faces. I try to be respectful of my homo friends and I personally ignore this behavior. But I can understand people getting sick of it when it is extreme.
