I grabbed some more elon at $88 and covered with april 85's for 13 3/4.
Unfortunately, the elon I bought last week at $108, I did not cover and have not covered yet. I'd like to, but not now with the premiums so low.
I always mess with options...usually, I use them as a hedge against a downturn or better leverage by buying leaps. This whole thing with V, and the 10 - 15% monthly thing has been very interesting to study. Anyway, today, I covered a bunch of crap, took in a nice chunk in premiums. I am going to try and play this game a little more extensively then I have.......Rather then using options as just a hedge, leverage gainer, or to make a quick buck I am going to take V's strategy and start earning some nice monthly regular income....I will leave my core portfolio untouched and will continue with my daily trading, but am clearing the room to start with maybe $50 - $100k and literally buy stock and cover, and see how this 10-15% monthly thing plays out. Compounded yearly, that aint too shabby at all. I'd love to plunge all out and go with some more bucks, but lets start with $50 - $100k and see what happens first.......
Thanks to everbody on this thread. Knowledge is fee, and it's one thing you can never have too much of. I remember when I first started trading options...I remember thinking "I can't believe I waited so long to learn more about this...and I can't believe others aremissing out on this wonderful investement tool".....After taking the next step, I hope I can say the same thing. |
