Oh please That's just remarkably silly. Both sides can "take it"- and are, in every orifice. And both sides have slung some pretty nasty crap-but Obama hasn't slung the nasty crap, while on the rep side we see McCain failing to even try to control the crap fest. That's a real difference. I don't think you can blame either side for the relative horribleness of the edges- I certainly don't blame McCain for the "He's a Muslim" nuts on the rep side, but I can blame him for not coming out against those folks, as Obama came out against people attacking Palin for her daughter (and saying the down's baby was really the daughter's etc etc). If you don't see it you don't see it- but please don't try to tell me that fixating on the pig comment Obama made and which McCain himself made is not lower than a snake's belly, and dirtier than a mudhole.
