A month later TI was airing their FRAM plans for the 0.90 process level:

Merrill has been "watching" since 05/02:
* TI faces some interesting challenges in dealing with memory integration, and we heard a more detailed discussion than we've heard before from the company. Intel has made much of its expertise in flash, and has implied (although we think it will take a long time) that it will be able to integrate flash memory and logic onto a single die. TI clearly needs to think about its own roadmap for integrating nonvolatile memory, and said today that it is looking at FRAM for the 90nm process node. FRAM technology, which has been supported by Ramtron, is a
technology that has been around for years, without ever seeing much success, and we were somewhat surprised to hear that TI is interested in the technology. We will be watching over the coming year to see whether TI sticks with its position.
