I agree. There is no quick solution.

That said, I think the new administration will take constructive steps to build up the energy infrastructure: things such as an increased oil depletion allowance or rebuilding the SPR. Possibly even tax credits although I knew, in other contexts, Bush has criticized these. Whatever steps are taken, it's going to benefit oil service stocks and one day soon the Wall Street herd is going to wake up to that fact. All IMVHO.
