Stephen - Re: "then where will the "real" growth come from? " The REAL growth for Merced/IA64 will occur gradually - modest in 2000 because most purchases will be for engineering evaluation/trail runs. The first year of Merced production will be one of constant hardware evaluation/updates as well as software development from Intel's ISV (Independent Software Vendors) - both OS and applications. I wouldn't expect real earnings impact until the latter half of 2001. Paul
