ST ANDREW ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF DON SHAXON AS INVESTOR RELATIONS MANAGER

St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. is appointing Don Shaxon as investor relations manager. Mr. Shaxon will be located at St Andrew's corporate office in Oakville, Ont., and will report to the president and chief executive officer. In this position Mr. Shaxon will be responsible for all of St Andrew's investor relations and shareholder and media communications. He will also be responsible for the in-house communication and public relations efforts of St Andrew.

Mr. Shaxon has almost 15 years experience in the investor relations and corporate communication fields including the mining industry. Since 2000 he has been the president of Central Organized Investing Network. Prior to that date he has held numerous investor relations management and consultant positions across a spectrum of industries, including the mining industry.

Mr. Shaxon's mandate at St Andrew will include increasing public, shareholder, and investor awareness and interest in the company as well as being the contact person to handle and address all investor and shareholder inquires. He will also be responsible for the development of an analyst and investor adviser following for St Andrew.
