Just walked in and boy was it cold. I felt it even with my 7mm Farmer Johns but it was still a lot of fun. To answer your question, the dives took place in Port Huron (where Lake Huron meets the St Clair River) We did the Tremble which is a 70 foot Wreck Dive in very high current. When you jump in you have to sink right to the bottom about 40 feet and plant yourself fast. Then when all divers are at the bottom you check each others gear out one last time before the swim. You must swim at the bottom very fast and very strong perpendicular to the shore and when you reach 65-70 feet then the Tremble should be in sight. If it isn't then you didn't swim hard enough and you better turn around and swim back because by this time your air could be as low as 1500lbs if you are diving with a 80cu tank. I usually get there with about 2100 remaining with my aluminum 80 and hang around for about 10 min and then head back. The problem with river diving is that it is very dangerous to surface in the river without being close to shore. The current is very very strong near the surface which reduces diver control of the situation. And to boot a passing boat will take your head off. The swim back is a little better if you know how to use the eddy's...if not well, see you down river. We did two dives and they were both great but the water and air was cold.

So you liked my girlfriends look ? LOL
