I think the numbers will be pretty good. Insiders sold a lot of stock, probably just becuase they wanted to take advantage of the "January effect rally" and feared a market correction. they were right. If they come out with bad news now, I bet there will be a big lawsuit that will hit about three days later. The 3D graphics/multimedia business is expected to boom later this year - the Christmas of '96 3D rally that only partially materialized for S3 is now primed to appear this year. S3 remains the best positioned company in the business, both with "sweet spot" designs and with highly eficient 0.35 u fab capacity. The margins have been increasing despite all the doom and gloom predictions of increased competition - hard to figure that as a bad situation but I guess many investors have. Da truth be known soon.
