I guess I na‹vely believe that developers would prefer to use one excellent tool to easily port to many different platforms and chip sets. Don't know much about MS's tools, but I wouldn't expect Redmond to bother making their software too flexible regarding other platforms.

Saw that you post on the Borland thread, too (and I've seen you on AAPL). As I said, I don't know a lot about programming tools. What I do know is that every programmer I've spoken too who has used CodeWarrior, says it is head-and-shoulders above the rest of the tools available. And the recent purchase of Latitude seems like more than just prep for Rhapsody.

What's Borland up to? Are they holding their own? Don't know much about them except they used to(?) have that wacky Philippe Kahn(?) as their head. Incidentally, somewhere I think I have a CD of his spacey jazz flute musings (strange world, isn't it?).
