McKenna has been a good spokesperson for high-tech business. But he comes from a legal background and the main obstacles facing Alphanet Telecom are primarily technical and economic. There is one legal fight that he might be able to help out on though. On Jan 23rd the CRTC ruled against an Internet long-distance company (ShadowTel) that tried to get an exemption from contribution payments.
