Which they promptly asked me to hackintosh. Have you done/seen a 10.6 "conversion" yet? Thinking of updating the mini9 this weekend… Went to a local BestBuy and I think the instore initiative is pretty much over for Apple. We're right back to iMacs sitting in the corner, dusty screens, incomprehensible file/folder names and broken mightymice sitting on wobbly wiremesh shelves. It's Sears all over again… Of course, just as lonely were the name-brand bigscreen laptops from all the other vendors. Netbooks were indeed where the only action was. Otherwise the store seemed a real dead zone.
