This stuff can be pretty tricky, particularly when you're covering core positions that have had appreciated since you bought them.

Don't I wish. Most of the shares (a little foot shuffling here, hangdog look, whatever) are underwater; that's why I'm not concerned about losing them. That seems to me to change the strategy. I'm willing to lose them and do a buyback and am not worried about the downside since I plan to stay in the company. Am I right?
