Wednesday March 14, 9:02 am Eastern Time Press Release CDMA Development Group Announces Plans for Wireless Technology Forum Seminar to Address Coverage, Capacity, and Network Improvement Solutions COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2001--The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) today announced plans to hold a Wireless Technology Forum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Monday, April 30, 2001.
The Forum will allow CDG member network operators to gain a perspective on new capacity, coverage, and network improvement solutions. This is part of the CDG's ongoing efforts to bring innovation to the wireless industry.
``The CDG continues to take a proactive approach in addressing operators' needs,'' said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG. ``We look forward to exciting discussions at this event.''
Wireless industry and academia experts around the world are invited to present at the forum. Topic submissions are due by Monday, March 26, 2001, and should address technologies complementary to the CDMA access protocol, such as smart antennas, vocoders, IP core network, etc.
Final presentations should include a description of the issue, a general overview of the concept, a discussion of potential performance, and an expected timeline for commercial availability.
