I never like to take one anecdotal case and make an argument for one side or another. As I posted, I'm sure there are excesses.

I know that I work in an area where it seems very easy to arrive, to obtain work, to transfer very large amounts of cash. I know individuals who do this on an extensive scale. There have been some walls added since 9/11 but I still see lots of gold jewelry, cash and even Food Stamps while I'm waiting to pay for my groceries.

Again, these are individual cases but I see it in numbers and, when I speak to many of these people, they tell me how easy it is to do this and that they are very organized.

I'm not saying these people are bad, terrorists, etc. In fact, almost all are very pleasant and I would welcome them as citizens. However, the ability to keep track of new "residents" and their resources is very difficult and limited. Most citizens welcome attempts to reign this in for the protection of the common good against potential terrorism.
