The network, once opened, is to be expanded to attract 17 million subscribers by 2002 and 20 million by 2003, according to the Chinese firm.

By 2004, Chinese CDMA users are expected to grow to 59.5 million, the value of the equipment market is to rise to $5.3 billion with the sales of handsets increasing to 42.80 million units," said an official.

This implies expansion to 17 million by the end of 2002 (in line with the 10 million/year cited several times already)
only 3 million adds in 2003, then 40 million adds in 2004. The 60 million by 2004 certainly assumes an acceleration of the 10 million/year rate. I guess we won't know until it's done, but it sure puts some wide bands on QCOM's potential revenue growth over the next few years from the China market.
