Players Network Announces Second Station Casinos Contract
January 6, 1999 - Las Vegas, Nevada - Players Network (OTC BB : PNTV) today
announced the signing of a long term contract to provide their digital 24
hour gaming and entertainment network to Boulder Station Hotel and Casino
in Las Vegas, Nevada. The contract is for a 36 month term and is the
second Station Casinos (NYSE : STN) property to sign up for this service
from Players Network. Station Casinos is the casino company who dominates
the so-called "locals" market of Las Vegas.
This contract brings Players Network into a new arena as it is the longest
term contract signed by the Company and it also allows the Company to
demonstrate the cross promotion capabilities of the system. With 2 Station
Casinos properties, Sunset Station and Boulder Station, now network
affiliates, the programming will be customized to market the aspects and
amenities of the 2 properties to the hotel guests.
Commenting on the contract, Players Network President Mark Bradley stated,
"The signing of this contract shows the approval of the product by Station
Casinos. With the signing of the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in
October, we immediately began discussions with the other Station Casino
properties about linking up a corporate system to cross-promote their
properties. We will now be able to demonstrate another aspect of the
Players Network programming to enhance results at the 2 Station Casino
properties. We hope to add the other properties as network affiliates in
the future. With the signing of this contract, we now have 7 affiliate
hotel/casinos in the Nevada gaming market."
