Where's V-shape growth??? Fed says growth has moderated
The only notable line in the Fed's announcement was this: "the upward impetus from the swing in inventory investment and the growth in final demand appear to have moderated". This moderation has been apparent and the statement is therefore not that surprising, but it does confirm that the Fed has edged even further away from the idea of raising rates. However, the possibility that they swing all the way back to cutting rates still seems rather remote.
