Jack, I wouldn't take it on faith either. I am a user, and I know exactly what MY trends are in service access and quality. Lotta old friends signing back on. Check it out for yourself, and then tell us about your first hand experience. Wattya got to lose? The disks are everywhere and the first 50 hours are free, right? At the least, you could add to the churn. :-)

I want to point out one thing. Lots of people are coming in and out of the SI boards with regularity. This is a specialized finance area. AOL has tons of specialized areas, and tons of people that have developed a habit of dropping in there for community. It isn't a fad.

The churn was real. The flat rate will slow it dramatically. But don't take my word for it. Try it.

Motley Fool is uneven, but can occasionally border on greatness. Their web site is only a teaser. Experience the whole thing at $19.95 all you want. $18 if you prepay for a year. $15 if you go for 2 years.
With your ISP, access to AOL is $9.95 unlimited.

The momentum has turned, and it is in favor of AOL. IMO.

Merry Christmas,

Brian
