Bob,

April has been the best Dow month in the last half century, April 1999 first month ever gain of 1000 Dow pts (maybe thsi April we give up 1k pts), Since 1990 when Good Friday occured in April the day before was up six times and down fractionally twice, First half of month still tends to do better then second half despite 4/15 tax day (4/16 this year), Stocks anticipate great first quater earnings by rising sharply before earnings are reported, rather then after, Rarely a dangerous month EXCEPT IN BIG BEAR MARKETS, "Best Six" monthes of the year END with April.
