George, I'm sure that SW had to dangle stock options as a part of the compensation package. My guess is the stike price is at least .50/each, cause this is the price most of the big outside holders and current management are at. So you're right that even at a buck the options will have appreciated 100%. How rich they get depends on how many shares are allocated. But the fact remains that in order to enjoy this they need to contribute to the success in building SW so the price goes up. This can be a very powerful incentive.

Like many investors, I've picked my share of winners and losers. My last bad lesson was due to paying too much attention to hype. I honestly don't see that with SW now. My background is in marketing and biz development, and I see a lot of opportunities this past year where SW could've pumped out a lot of "hype." In fact, I'd categorize them as being very low key in promoting it's recent successes.

Your statement about never buying stock in a company that doesn't earn money is certainly right on. This is my key concern with SW -- that the sales revenue isn't covering expenses. Naturally this can't go on in 97 without having a very negative impact. I think this is precisely why SW added the two recent execs, to beef up the sales channels and marketing activities.

The bad news is that you're certainly "stuck" now since you don't want to sell, and it doesn't look like you want to buy down (actually at the terrible price now you can get 20 shares for each one that you previously paid for) to lower your potential loss. The good news is that there's a new management team in place that has a lot of incentive to improve the company and it's stock price.
