Dave and others, good questions

It appears that the conversion to equity was done late in 1997.

No, that would not be entirely accurate, since the word many not most and certainly not all were converted. Means that many, probably most were/are yet to be converted.

Does this mean the stock price already reflects this conversion?
That would depend on if they were converted and if sold.

I'm not sure. I really don't understand this.
The links should provide a basic understanding. There has been a thread started on Floorless Prefereds that can supply addn'l background.

If someone could call the company for a better explanation, I will be out most of the day

10k is required, filed with the SEC. If not in Black and White it is suspect. The debs are a surprise to me, makes me suspicious. We have called the company before and not learned of these. Maybe the right questions were not asked but, who cares now. If not in black and white, it does not exist. To be trusted, the questions debenture amount and terms can only be answered in an SEC Filing.
