That lumber trade was many years ago, before I woke up... I find it's never productive to try to figure out the why of anything, especially fundamentals, my thinking is that I'm always going to be the last one to know, so if I actually figure out why something is, then the whole world already knew about it and it's already in the market, I would never trade on that information, it's old news... in other words, things are as they are, if it's a good trade then take it, if not then leave it... it sounds as if you really just need a good trading system... stop trading until you have a method you know works well, and then begin slowly... some people have a remarkable savvy when it comes to fundamentals, I have a great respect for them, and they too make mistakes, no one is perfect...
