WHAT: QUALCOMM will showcase live demonstrations of innovative,
advanced wireless technologies and products at the Company's
booth at CTIA Wireless 2001 in Las Vegas, March 20-22, 2001.
Demonstrations will include:
-- cdma2000 1xEV -- supporting high-speed wireless Internet
access. The demo will consist of a base station and small,
trial wireless modems attached to laptops, notebook
computers and pocket PCs, that perform Web browsing,
e-mail, file downloads and applications, such as streaming
video, Internet games and telematics
-- Wireless Internet Launchpad(TM) suite of technologies,
including wireless handset karaoke sing-alongs, wireless
animation and MP3 capabilities
-- gpsOne(TM) position-location technology -- tracking a
vehicle via a laptop map display while driving through the
streets of Las Vegas
-- Bluetooth(TM) wireless connectivity capabilities
-- cdma2000 1x call -- featuring Internet File Transfer
Protocol uploads and downloads and Web surfing
-- MSP1000(TM) multimedia applications, such as MPEG4
streaming video decoding
-- Applications on wireless devices that utilize QUALCOMM's
new BREW(TM) platform in conjunction with BREW partners
-- Globalstar(TM) packet data live calls and voice calls over
the Globalstar Satellite System
-- OmniExpress(TM) mobile communications system and the MVPc
in-vehicle computer
