I find the entire sequence of events over the last 24 hours very unusual. I still don't understand why Novell released earnings at 8:00 in the morning, creating a possible panic. There seems to be confusion over the sales numbers. I have not seen an itemized sales report yet on any of the newswires as they published last quarter (3.x, 4.x, groupwise).

Further I am confused as to whether the conference call rumored to have happened yesterday is the conference call to analysts that CNBC speculated would happen on Friday. Is there another call taking place tomorrow?

One of two press releases from AP dated 05/29 indicated "At Novell's 12th annual meeting last month, Frankenberg told investors to expect disappointing second-quarter results". Could this be true? I did not here this, did anyone else?

Only real information I think I know is that the stock dropped about 5/8 yesterday and seems to be holding steady today, and that Novell's CEO is supposedly going to be talking with CNBC tomorrow morning.

I feel like something is missing. Any other opinions?
