Copper inventories:

LME 44,650 tonnes; 11/4/04-1/14/05 change -29,350 tonnes
NYMEX 48,447 tons; 11/4/04-1/14/05 change +4,387 tons

The copper price has made three climbs above $1.45/lb in the last 3 months and suffered a sharp decline each time. The inventory level of the two exchanges shown above has been relatively constant the last month. Are we reaching equilibrium?
